Grandmaster Ron Van Browning, founder and director of Trainers Elite® and the Accelerated Fighting System, has an impressive background with over 40 years of experience in the Martial Arts beginning with Judo, Karate, and Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 17 while in the Navy. In the early sixties, Grandmaster Browning began training with Grandmaster Jimmy H. Woo, with whom he studied for over 28 years. Grandmaster Browning has also fought professionally as a middleweight boxer out of the Main Street Gym in Los Angeles, California.
In his quest for knowledge and excellence, Grandmaster Browning has studied and trained with Grandmaster Professor Wally Jay in Judo and Small Circle Jiu-Jitsu; Grandmaster Remy Presas in Modern Arnis; Sensei Bill Sosa in Aikido; Reylson Gracie in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; Ken and Frank Shamrock in submission grappling; and Oleg Taktarov in Russian Sambo, Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo. He has assisted in training, and trained with, UFC Champion and three-time King of Pancrase, Guy Mezger. Grandmaster Browning holds black belts in five different styles and has become a recognized expert in the Martial Arts. In 1995, Grandmaster Browning was inducted into the Eastern U.S.A. International Martial Arts Hall of Fame. In 2000, he was inducted into the Texas Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and he was promoted to Grandmaster 10th Degree by Grandmaster Wally Jay and Grandmaster Remy Presas. In 2001, he was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame and awarded his Professorship in Martial Arts. Grandmaster Browning has also acted as Commissioner of the World Pancration Council.
Grandmaster Browning has trained FBI and law enforcement personnel all over the United States, as well as private security personnel and bodyguards. In the entertainment industry, he has created fight scenes, trained actors and stuntmen for movies and television, and has appeared in movies himself. Grandmaster Browning also trains boxers, kickboxers, and submission fighters, both professional and amateur, and has been employed to teach assault and rape prevention to employees of major corporations. He has produced training tapes in Martial Arts, and is writing a book on the Accelerated Fighting System.
Grandmaster Browning has developed practical, basic techniques that can easily be added in a few hours of training to other martial arts systems. These techniques complement and enhance existing systems, as his Accelerated Fighting System is a combination of the fighting arts he has studied and trained in over the years. Taking only those techniques that are practical in street and self-defense situations, together with full contact fighting and submission grappling, Grandmaster Browning has developed a streamlined program that separates fighting art from form and set patterns.
Grandmaster Browning travels all over the world doing seminars. His goal is to open minds to the exploration of other arts and to unite these arts to connect missing links in each style.
